Belated Thankfulness

For Thanksgiving Laura and I got to go home to Tulsa. There's nothing better than driving on those streets. Knowing the shortcuts, avoiding where the cops hide, and all those familiar places you grew up with, it's like being with family. Oh, and I guess I liked hanging out with my folks, too.

MySpace- Bringing Families Together

It's after midnight, and I can't sleep. So, in this darkened home, to whom do I turn to assuage my oppressive boredom? MySpace of course! As I sign on, expecting the usual lame posted surveys and friend requests from already deleted accounts, I find a peculiar message waiting for me. Somebody is asking me about my family's progressive dinner plans for Christmas. Creepy internet stalker? No, it is in fact my long lost cousin! A cousin I grew up with, but haven't really talked to for years. Thank you MySpace. No more will I question the sincerity and depths of the relationships you foster. Perhaps now I can sleep, resting in the warmth of knowing that you are out there, tirelessly endeavoring to mend my family.
